Next day we left early to cross the city by tuk tuk through PP peak hour, to land at the local bus station and eventually onto a 7:30am bus,of mainly locals, for a 6 hour ride across the country to Siem Reap. Six hours turned into 7.5 hours and although it was LONG, everyone coped surprisingly well, with a lot of assistance from various electronic devices and a large amount of food and soft drink. Finally pulled into Siem Reap late in the afternoon to a throng of tuk tuk drivers buzzing around the bus doors hunting for business.
